Piña Colada Prawns🍍🥥🦐⁣⁣

These grilled coconut crusted prawns and pineapple skewers are the perfect pairing to get any party started!⁣


𝕀𝕟𝕘𝕣𝕖𝕕𝕚𝕖𝕟𝕥𝕤⁣⁣

Peeled Raw Jumbo Shrimp ⁣⁣

• 1 Pineapple or Pre-cut Chunks⁣⁣

• Marinade - Garlic, Chilli paste, Knorr all purpose seasoning, Salt, Pepper, Paprika and a teaspoon of Oil to hold it all together ⁣⁣

• 50g Desicated Coconut ⁣⁣

• Skewers ⁣⁣

𝕆𝕡𝕥𝕚𝕠𝕟𝕒𝕝- soak your pineapples in a shot of rum.

𝕄𝕖𝕥𝕙𝕠𝕕⁣⁣

1. Soak your skewer sticks (2hrs) in water ⁣⁣to help them from sticking to the prawns.

2. Clean your shrimps and marinade them in the seasoning for 2hrs for maximum flavour.⁣⁣

3. Cut your pineapple into bite size chunks.

4. Thread the shrimp onto a skewer, alternating with the pineapple. (I did a ratio of 3 pineapple chunks to 2 shrimp but you can do whatever you fancy)⁣⁣

5. Grill the skewer for 3 minutes, brushing with the marinade & then cook for an additional 2-3 minutes on the other side.⁣⁣

6. Toast your desicated coconut in the pan untill it browns and then sprinkle onto shrimp.⁣⁣ (I did initially try to coat the shrimp in coconut and then fry but this just meant the coconut would burn!)

7. Serve with some lime and enjoy. 💓
